KE5OG finishes 1st in West Gulf Division RTTY Roundup

Congrats to Bill, KE5OG, on his fine performance in the 2016 ARRL RTTY Roundup. He finished first in the West Gulf Division with 1,293 QSOs and has his photo and a write up in the Full Results for the RTTY Roundup here…

N5DO Wins Category in ARRL 10 Meter Contest

Alpine’s Dave Cockrum, N5DO, won his category in the recently held ARRL 10 meter contest. Dave entered as a Single Operator, Unlimited, Mixed Mode, QRP, and scored a big victory. He had 187,620 points. He was over 20K points ahead of second place.

W5AJ DXCC Card Checker to Attend Field Day

Robert Wood, W5AJ, will attend Field Day with the Big Bend Amateur Radio Club. Robert is an ARRL DXCC Card Checker and is willing to check cards while in Alpine.

Robert lives in Midland and is an avid DXer and Contester.
